Magenta Pt. I
Just came back from the first ever Magenta Flash Forward Festival in Toronto, Canada. Was loads of fun, and packed with wonderful photographers, curators, writers, gallerists, book publishers and industry professionals all there for the common purpose and love of photo. If you ever are unsure as to which of the many contests to apply to, since with all the submissions fees you should be a bit selective, we highly highly recommend this one. It's wonderful exposure, and the contest has taken on a physical form, now a festival jam-packed with lectures, curators' talks, exhibitions, openings, after-parties, etc. Will report back in full detail on some of the many interesting lectures they had, but since we're fully exhausted, we will quickly post below some really great photographers we got to know that were also part of the festival:
