In Tandem : Alex Katz and Vincent Katz
A collaborative work by father and son, Autographs is a series of short poems and drawings by poet Vincent Katz and artist Alex Katz. Vincent wrote the poems in the mid-eighties follwing a recent breakup. Upon showing them to his father, painter Alex Katz, the talents combined as his father was captivated to accompany each of his son's poems with drawings. Recorded in October 2006 for Esopus magazine, you can hear Vincent Katz's words read by Jennifer Jason Leigh accompanied by his father Alex Katz's drawings here.
