21 SEPTEMBER 2008

Eddie Barron, Ft. Worth, TX 2008

Woken up at 1:30 am and headed to Ft. Worth, TX to unload our bottled water. There was a caravan sent out to unload at this FEMA facility. They weren't prepared with the overabundance of supplies, but were prepared in case the disaster was worse than it actually was. Far from Reliant Stadium, there were around 50 trucks all waiting to get unloaded. No food, no showers, not even a porto-potty, it was pretty bad. Imagine a bunch of eighteen wheelers out in the desert. We bob tailed to a Love's to get fuel and food. Hung outside all day with other drivers to pass the time. Our truck is one of the big, red and shiny's in the background.
