Happy Inauguration!

'through our windshield'

To commemorate this historic day of the swearing in of our forty-fourth president of the United States, we found ourselves remembering the very first, George Washington. While we really wished we were in DC to witness such a grand occasion, we were instead on the Jersey side of the GW bridge northbound for Massachusetts. At 08:45 this morning we caused more traffic than usual during today's morning commute. A day cab hauling a mini container (truck that only travels locally pulling a small container from the rail-yard) hit the back of a Mercedes suv, switching lanes then stopping short allowing us enough time to hit the back of his trailer. Everyone is safe, but our poor passenger rear view mirror and trailer didn't make it alright. To be the good truckers that we are, we kept on trucking and made sure our load made it on time. To make our mirror feel special and part of the day's festivities, we dressed it up in good ol' red, white and blue. Well, not quite white, but have you ever heard of white duct tape? This patriotic costume served a dual purpose of keeping our mirror hanging on for its dear life. "We must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America."
