In Tandem: Eduardo del Valle & Mirta Gómez

Our first feature of 'In Tandem' artists are fellow husband and wife team Eduardo del Valle & Mirta Gómez. Working collaboratively for over thirty years and teaching together for almost the same, the Cuban-born artists are widely known for their photographic studies of Yucatan, Mexico.

The images shown are from Sections of Time, an on-going body of work that celebrates transformation through seasonal change and the passage of time. In photographing the same dwelling over a number of years, the images resonate the equivocal strength of survival and adaptation.
